Paul Owen was admitted as a Solicitor in April 1981 having completed his Articles/Training with his late Father, Hugh Owen in Windsor.
Paul then moved to London as he wanted to develop a career in litigation. He first joined Lewis & Dick in the Strand, a well known litigation practice, where he deepened his knowledge and experience, especially in High Court litigation. He then had an exciting opportunity to join Clifford Turner in the City (now Clifford Chance). Whilst there, he was seconded to Luxembourg for six months on the BancoAmbrosiano liquidation involving international asset recovery and working with lawyers from many foreign jurisdictions.
Paul subsequently joined two more well known local firms where he specialised in general civil and commercial litigation before joining Piers Clifton and establishing Clifton Owen in February 1994. Since then Paul has undertaken a wide range of work from business acquisitions and sales, employment law, (both contentious and non contentious) commercial litigation, debt recovery insolvency, and general litigation including Party Wall and neighbour/boundary disputes, contested probates and Landlord and Tenant possessions.
Outside of work, Paul is a keen sportsman and enjoys keeping fit by running, tennis, gym and skiing. He also enjoys gardening, classic cars and has a passion for motoring abroad and he escapes across the Channel whenever he can. po@charsley harrison.com
